Rahr Oktoberfest 5k - 2011

The cry of happy beer drinkers at the start of the Munich Oktoberfest, which in German means, "The keg is tapped!" Well, almost! It is time to lace up those running shoes, dust off your lederhosen & dirndl, grab your favorite beer stein and meet us at Rahr & Sons brewery on Saturday, September 24th for the second annual running of the Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K all benefitting the Trinity Habitat for Humanity.

* Available through Feb. 11, 2011: Registration fee includes entrance into the Great Rahr 1 year anniversary roof collapse celebration on Saturday February 12th, 2011 which includes: the brewery tour, food and a race entry for the Rahr Oktoberfest on Sept. 24th.

Packet Pick Up is on Wednesday and Thursday, September 21 & 22 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at either Central Market Fort Worth or Central Market Dallas, as well as at Rahr Brewery the morning of the race. Please select where you would like to pick up your packet below:

Celebrate the Rahr Oktoberfest after the race - das Rahr Craft Bier, die Musik, and die wurst!!
10:30 AM: Awards
12:00 PM: An informal bike cruise to Sundance Square to check out the Trinity Habitat for Humanity build.

Disposable timing tags will be used at this event. You must wear a tag to be timed and eligible for awards. Age group awards will be determined by tag time.

1st Overall & Masters finishers in both genders will receive awards.
Top 3 finishers: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Top 3 Beer Belly Awards: Female 175+ lb and Male 200+ lb weight categories will also receive awards.

Trinity Habitat for Humanity

Founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller and his wife Linda, Habitat for Humanity has built in excess of 300,000 quality affordable homes and over 1.5 million people served around the world. All Habitat for Humanity affiliates build on the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live at a price they can afford. Fort Worth Area Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1989 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Fort Worth Area Habitat has since grown from a handful of dedicated founders into a volunteer corps of thousands and today ranks among the top 20 U.S. Habitat affiliates in home production. In 2006 the name was changed to Trinity Habitat for Humanity in order to be more inclusive of the four counties we serve.
