The Lake Escape

9:00 AM: 10K & 5K Runs
10:30 AM: Kids Fun Run

• The 10K and 5K runs will start and finish on the east end of the parking lot at Richardson Park.
  
• The courses are primarily on paved surfaces through the park, along the shoulder of the road and on the bike path adjacent to the waterfront.
  
• There is also a short section of grass connecting sections of the paved surfaces.
  

Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers overall and in each five-year age group in both the 10K and 5K events.

Random drawings for all participants will also be held.

10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over

• Both technical and cotton shirts will be available.
  
• Tech shirts are an additional $10, cotton shirts, $6.
  
• Shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Monday, August 23rd.
  

All participants need to be aware and considerate of other park users at Richardson Park. Sections of the course follow the waterfront (and fishing activities), wind through the campground, and utilize the main arterial route that exits the park.

• The kids fun run will be held following the conclusion of the 10K and 5K runs at approximately 10:30 AM.
  
• This event is free for kids 12 and under.
  
• The 400-meter course will start and finish at the finish line of the 10K and 5K runs.

• In-person entry may be made through 12:00 PM noon, August 28th, at the Eugene Running Company, located in the Oakway Center.
  
• In person registration will close at 12:00 PM noon on August 28.
  
• Race day registration: 7:30 to 8:45 AM if available.
  

A portion of the proceeds from the event will assist in the construction of the new City of Veneta Community Pool.

Both the 10K and 5K events are limited to 200 entrants.
