Holiday in Lights 5k

Online registration for this event is now closed. Late registration will be available at packet pick up on: Thursday, 11/18 from 3pm to 8pm at Fleet Feet Sports Cincinnati in Blue Ash, 9525 Kenwood Road, Cinti, OH 45242 (513-793-8383) Friday, 11/19 from 11am to 6pm at The Alleen Company in Sharonville, 11939 Tramway Drive, Cinti, OH 45241 (769-0393). Saturday, 11/20 from 9am to Noon at the Alleen Company. Late registration (after 11/17/10) cost is $31 ($26 for kids 12 and under). Registration will also be available on race day, beginning at 3:30 pm near the Sharon Centre in Sharon Woods. Only on race day at Sharon Woods--credit cards accepted. The race begins at 5pm. There will be a 1 minute delay for the Racewalk Division only (must use Olympic style form--does not apply to recreational and or fitness walkers). Please note that limited parking is available inside the Park. Free overflow parking is available at PARK 42, across the street from the Sharon Woods Rt. 42 entrance. Event Information

NEW DATE THIS YEAR--Saturday, November 20!

The race will is a USATF sanctioned and certified 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk. Due to parking space and accomodations on the course, the event will be limited to the first 1500 participants registered. Once the event has reached the cap, online registration will be closed.

The event will be chip timed with the Jaguar Timing System. Timed by GHG Timing, Inc.

Due to space constraints, the field of participants will be limited to 1500--so register early!

**Please--due to the nature of the course and the low light levels, no pets permitted in the event.

 Course

New course this year! The 5k run and walk will both travel through the lights loop one time. The 5k will pick up additional distance on the parcourse trail and near the Kemper Road entrance to the park.

 Parking

Limited parking will be available inside Sharon Woods near the Sharon Centre . Free parking is also available at PARK 42, an office complex immediately across the street from the Rt. 42 entrance of Sharon Woods. Please use the crosswalk that has been constructed.

For your safety, please DO NOT PARK near the Harbor (Kemper Rd. entrance). This is a 1-mile walk to the start/finish and will be an unlit path in the dark after the race.

 Post Race Activities

Plan to stay for food and fun inside a heated tent near the Sharon Centre.

 Awards

Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Runners and the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Racewalkers. Awards are based on gun time, but chip time results will be available for all finishers.

For the Racewalk Division, competitors must use the Olympic style form. Recreational and fitness walkers are invited to register in the Run Division, please.

    Late Registration is available at Packet Pick Up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please see info below. Cost is $26 ($21 for kids 12 and under).
