Rules |
All teammates must be over 18, or must be accompanied by a parent or other adult over 25. Drivers must be over 18.
You may need up to $5 in cash or coin to complete the challenges.
Each team will need either a digital camera or cell phone with camera to record the completion of some challenges.
All locations are in the Greater Anderson area (Anderson, Mt. Washington, Newtown, West Clermont).
Each adult team member must bring their driver's license to the check-in table on the day of the race.
At the starting line, you will be given a packet containing items to retrieve, clues to the locations, challenge instructions, puzzles to complete, and questions to answer. Each item is marked optional or mandatory. Your team decides in what order to complete the clues.
You may choose TWO of the optional items to skip.
Use of cell phones, gps systems, computers, etc. are all allowed, but they all may not help!
Your team cannot split up into separate vehicles and must visit each location together. Yes, that means all of you must get out of the car at each stop.
The clues may be difficult, so if there are young participants, they may need assistance from an older team member. Suggested minimum age is 10.
You must obey the laws of the road. Your licenses will be sealed in an envelope. If the seal is broken at the finish line, you will be disqualified.
10 minutes will be added to your time if race volunteers note that your team is exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior.
Your team will be disqualified if you obstruct the progress of another team or cheat.
For any incorrect or missing item, a 15 minute penalty will be added to your time. You will not have the option of returning to properly complete the clue.
All teams must cross the finish line no later than 2:30 PM.
Strategy and planning are as important as speed!
Judges/Race Director decisions are final.
