Come Join the Fun:
~ Come kick off the start of summer with this long time popular Seattle 5k Event.
~ Run or walk the flat 5k route or put together a five-person team for the costumed Briefcase Relay.
~ Then celebrate your race at the post-race festivities that include music, vendors, prizes and the Beer Garden serving beer and wine
Date and Location:
Friday, June 12th, 2009
~ Parking is limited in Fremont.
~ Please car pool or use Metro and respect the property in the neighborhood.
~ Race starts and finishes at the Waiting for the Interurban Statue (near the Fremont Bridge at N 34th and Fremont Ave N.)
Race Schedule:
4:30 PM: Race day check-in ($35), number and t-shirt pickup on the Adobe Plaza near N 34th and Fremont Ave N.
5:45 PM: Briefcase relay team inspection at Adobe Plaza
6:00 PM: Briefcase relay starts
6:00 PM: Beer Garden opens
7:00 PM: 5k Run/Walk starts
8:00 PM: Awards at Adobe Plaza - Overall awards will be presented at the awards ceremony. Division awards will be mailed.
Post Race:
Join us for food, drink, prizes and music next to the Fremont Bridge at Adobe Plaza.
Beer Garden:
The beer garden serving beer and wine opens at 6:00 PM.

$2 Cool Tag Purchase - New This Year |
During the registration process, you will be able to purchase a $2 Clif Bar Cool Tag sticker to help reduce any CO2 generated via the event.
All Cool Tag stickers will be distributed in each participant's' race number packet.

Costumed Briefcase Relay |
Form a team at work. Challenge the competition. Join the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and race for the SLUG CUP.
The Briefcase Relay starts at 6:00 PM at the Waiting for the Interurban statue on N 34th in front of the Fremont Bridge.
Teams consist of (5) persons (each runs 1k) dressed from the waist up in regular business attire and carrying a briefcase which contains five standard sized cans of food that will then be donated to Solid Ground at the end of the race. (Backpacks are not considered a briefcase).
Teams must check-in for inspection at Adobe Plaza across from the Waiting for the Interurban statue.
All Briefcase Relay participants may also run/walk in the 5k at 7:00 PM at no extra charge.
