Community Network Services and The CNS Anti-Stigma Program |
Community Network Services, Inc.(CNS) is a private, non-profit, human services agency that provides comprehensive mental health and social services to adults in Oakland County. Currently, it has 220 professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff working together to serve more than 3,200 consumers.
The CNS Anti-Stigma Program began in 2005, and has since provided mental health sensitivity and awareness education to over 8000 people in the State of Michigan.
The program has been vital to decreasing stigma in our local communities by bringing to light the real life stories, struggles, and triumphs of those who have been affected by mental illness. Over the past three years the program has receives numerous local and national awards for their exemplary work and dedication to eradicating stigma. All proceeds from the 2nd Annual Stomp Out Stigma 5k will go to ensure the continuation of the CNS Anti-Stigma Program.

Schedule of Events and Route |
Date: Saturday, September 12th, 2009
Time: Check-In / Registration 8:00 - 8:45 AM
Run: Shotgun start at 9:00 AM (walk begins shortly after run start).
Route: 5K (3.1 miles) over a paved and picturesque nature trail.

Directions |
~ From the north take I-75 South to Sashabaw Rd exit. Turn left. The park will be on your left hand side.
~ From the south take I-75 North to Sashabaw Rd exit. Turn right. The park will be on your left hand side.

Awards Category |
~ Medals to top 3 finishers of each gender per age group (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).
~ Also a Token of appreciation to top 3 fundraisers.

Post Race Party |
The post race fun includes food, music, and entertainment along with the awards ceremony and a raffle.

Entry Fee:
$20 early registration (includes t-shirt and refreshments)
$25 late registration (includes t-shirt and refreshments)
