Leaves of Hope 5k run/1-mile walk

The Leaves of Hope Run/Walk will be the kick-off event for the annual National Cancer Survivors Day celebrations at Lutheran. National Cancer Survivors Day is a long-standing tradition at Lutheran that year after year brings back cancer survivors to celebrate the gift of life with their families, friends, and the staff who cared for them.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Exempla Lutheran Medical Center cancer programs.

The Leaves of Hope Run/Walk will wind through the scenic Exempla Lutheran Medical Center (ELMC) campus and through the tree-lined residential streets of Wheat Ridge. The routes include a 1-mile family fun walk and a 5K (3.1 miles) certified race for both runners and walkers.

The start and finish lines are on the west side of the EMLC campus. The course is generally flat with mild rolling hills.

Schedule:
8:45 - 9:45 AM: Race Day Registration
8:45 - 10:00 AM: Race Packet and T-shirt Pickup
10:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk
10:30 AM: 1-Mile Fun Walk
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Finish Line Expo
11:15 AM: Awards
Noon - 4:00 PM: National Cancer Survivor Day Festivities

-Top 3 female and top 3 male overall finishers.
-Top 2 female and top 2 male masters (40 years of age or more) finishers.

Each participant will receive a race t-shirt and registration packet on race day. Look for the registration tent near the start line.

Packet pick up will be available from 8:45 - 10:00 AM.
