On October 25th, 2013 Jamie (Garbes) Smith suffered a stroke while 15 weeks pregnant with her fourth daughter.
Jamie suffered a second stroke on February 15, 2016 and had Pontine brain surgery on March 4, 2016. Jamie is now doing well and she is enjoying her life with her husband and four daughters. She continues to strive to Do Better. Be Better. with her life and encourages others to do the same!
Jamie and her family have created the Do Better. Be Better. organization and scholarship fund. They raise funds for families suffering from medical emergencies and award a graduating senior from Dunkerton and Cedar Falls a scholarship each year.
With your support, they will be able to continue to help others and give back to the community.
