Together We Ride…Uniting cyclists of all abilities

The Ride to Unite kicks off the Gateway Cup Saturday events at Francis Park on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. with a message of unity. This is a FREE event for all members of the community to ride together and promote the freedom and independence created by cycling. The event includes a 5 mile ride on the race course of adults and children with and without disabilities. Plan to stick around after the ride for family fun and front row seats to watch the Gateway Cup races!

About the Gateway Cup

This year marks the 24th year that the top amateur and professional cyclists from around the United States will converge on St. Louis for four days of cycling over Labor Day Weekend in the Gateway Cup. The Gateway Cup takes place in the heart of four unique St. Louis neighborhoods - Lafayette Square, St. Louis Hills - Francis Park, the Italian Hill Neighborhood and historic Benton Park. Within each of these host communities the race course is defined by an approximately one mile lap known as a criterium. The Gateway Cup features five - six successive races each day based on ability, ranging from beginner to pros. Each day is highlighted by the feature event, the men's Pro-Am race. In this race, 150 of the nation's top cyclists compete.
