Proceeds for the race will empower the Roma to gain their "Independence" through these three great projects:

1. Garden Project - $3,400 for hiring a full time Roma to work the land, seeds, plants, planting and watering crops.
2. Literacy Program - $1,200 for a year long teacher to school the Roma on how to read and write.
3. Livestock Program - $6,970 to hire two part time Roma to work the program; chicken feed and supplies for one year for 50 chickens; pig feed for one year for 10 pigs; and, goat food, hay and alfalfa for 2 adult goats and 4 baby goats.

Get your crazy Red, White and Blue attire on. The 2016 4 on the 4th Four Mile Run/Walk will take place at Sam Peden Community Park and follow a scenic route through the 4H Fairgrounds before returning to the park.

Sam Peden Community Park is located at 3037 Grantline Road, New Albany, IN just south of Interstate 265.

The race will begin at 8:00am.

Registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:30am and will end at 7:45am.

Registration and parking will be at shelter house #4.
