About This Event

The Indianapolis Sprint Triathlon Series is a exciting short course event designed for both the experienced and beginner type. The distances are 500 meter swim, 10 mile bike and 3 mile run. Scenic Eagle Creek Park will host this event. Open to ages 14 and above. NOTE: You can still sign up at Packet Pick up on Friday or Saturday - we still have room for more entries.

Location/Parking

The event is located at Eagle Creek Park on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Parking is available just inside of Eagle Creek Park.

NOTE - If you sign up at least ONE WEEK in advance your entry fee pays for your parking into Eagle Creek! A parking pass will be sent to you VIA EMAIL before the event. If you sign up the last week - you will be required to pay the $5 entrance fee. For location map and further directions go to www.tuxbro.com

Packet Pick-Up - Late Registration

You may pick up your packet and register late (if event has not reached its limit) on Friday, August 19 between 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Endurance House in Zionsville

Age Groups

Age groups are as follows: 14-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34...75+ Also Clydesdale and Athena Division (males over 220# and females over 165#) - There is also a Fat Tire division for those wishing to use mountain bikes (wheels must be a minimum of 1.5 inches and have upright handlebars)

If you compete in the Fat Tire or Clydesdale/Athena you will not be eligible for age-group awards.

Awards

The top 3 overall finishers will receive separate awards. The top finishers (minimum of 3) in each age category will also receive nice awards. Awards will be presented immediately after the event has completed.

Teams

There are 3 divisions for Relay Teams (2 or 3 per team): All Male, All Female, and Co-ed. Relay teams compete in a relay format - one person swims, then one person bikes then one person runs. The top 3 in each division will receive awards - get a team and have some fun!

Volunteer Information

We cannot make our events a great success without our WONDERFUL volunteers! Donate you time and help keep our athletes safe. We welcome individuals, groups, church groups, and organizations to join us!

The following shifts are available:

Packet pick-up: 6:15AM-8:00am
- Packet pick-up volunteers pass out bibs, timing tags, shirts, etc to participants.

Body Marking: 6:30AM-8:00AM
- Body Marking volunteers write the participants bib number on their arm to prepare them for competition.

Water Station: 7:00AM-10:30AM
-Water Station volunteers pass out water and/or Gatorade to the participants on the course. Water Station volunteers will be at their designated water stop.

Transition: 7:00AM-10:00AM
-Transition volunteers assist within the transition area where the bikes and gear are placed. They help participants in locating their transition station, give directional assistance during the race, and secure the area.

Run Course: 7:00AM-10:30AM
-Run Course Marshal volunteers give directional assistance to participants out on the run course.

Bike Course: 7:00AM-10:30AM
-Bike Course Marshal volunteers give directional assistance to participants out on the bike course.

Finish Line: 7:30AM-10:30AM
-Finish Line volunteers can help with one or more of the following duties, passing out water, removing timing tags, preparing refreshment tent for finishers.


All volunteers receive an event t-shirt and have access to refreshments. We donate back to groups/organizations that volunteer with us for the day.
