Through a community-wide effort in the city of Flower Mound, the overall mission of the Around the Mound 5k is:
*To support the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption by contributing 100% of the race proceeds.
*To promote fitness and invite families to participate in running and walking to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
*To increase awareness about waiting children and the process to adopt.
