36th Annual LaPorte YMCA Triathlon |
The 35th running of the LaPorte YMCA Triathlon takes place at 8 a.m. (local time) Saturday, Aug. 1st, 2014 at Soldiers Memorial Park in LaPorte.
The race entails a quarter-mile lake swim, a 12.4-mile bike and a 3.3-mile run. The course begins in Solders Memorial Park at the Stone Lake Beach House and winds through scenic LaPorte County.
The triathlon, which features chip timing, includes male and female divisions for ages 12 and up, as well as team categories. Overall and Masters (age 40 or older) champions will also be recognized.
There will be no registration the day of the race.
Fees include a t-shirt, cinch sack, water bottle, swim cap, race number and post-race snack.
