Event Description |
The Waveland Whiteout is the second event in the Snowdown Showdown Series. Racers can ski, snow shoe, or fat bike. Want to make a day of it? Participate in as many as 4 races! Each additional race is just 5 bucks.
The Snowdown Showdown Series is three separate events. (Raccoon River Rage, Waveland Whiteout, & Brown Deer Bone-Chiller) To compete in the series, racers must participate in the same race at all three events. Results will be determined by the racer's cumulative times. Series champions will be crowned at the final event.
The event takes place on the Waveland Golf Course in Des Moines, Iowa. Notorious for its hills, the Waveland will be one of the more difficult venues in the series.
