About the Program |
The Fall 5K Training Program is a 8-week low-key program primarily geared towards runners that are currently using a walk/run system who want to increase the amount oftime running. The goa l is to move from the walk/run to running co ntinuously for 20 or more minutes. The program's fi rst targeted group is the summer RS participants, offering a program that will allow them to build on the training foundation established in the RS program. Participants should be able to exercise for 35 continuous minutes at a moderate rate. The program is meant to increase endurance by increasing the amount of time running during each session. The targeted graduation race is the Wright Stuff.
Program Structure |
The program will consist of two group sessions per week, during which all participants will train as a group with the coaches.

8-week training session
- October 4 - November 29[*]Two (2) group workouts per week[br]
-Saturdays at 7:00am[br]
-Thursdays at 6:45pm

Program Communication |
The following communication tools listed below will be utilized during the program:
* Access to program information will require access to email.
* Each participant and pace leader will be added to a distribution list for e-mail communication.
* A calendar of weekly workouts and locations will be posted online.

Participants will be required to sign in at the beginning of each session.
Medical Clearance |
If the participant is under medical care, have a medical condition or have not exercised recently; it is recommended that the participant secure a clearance from their doctor before participating in this or any training program.
Program Requirements |
- Ages 18 and up
- Ability to exercise continuously for 35 minutes at a moderate rate.
- Active club membership status
