Participation Levels (5K) |
Walker - I plan on walking the 5K route. I will definitely try at least 3 obstacles. I am no wimp! I am going to have a good time with my friends and fellow competitors and do not care about my finish time but would like to know anyway.
Beginner - I am new to this event and would like to try it. I will walk some and run some and will do at least 3 obstacles or all of it. I will be curious about my finish time and maybe next time enter the Challenger or the Competitor levels.
Challenger - I have taken part in similar events before and have knowledge on what to expect. I consider myself fit and workout on a regular basis. I plan on completing the entire course and complete all the fitness challenge obstacles in a decent time. I am in this race to challenge myself.
Competitor - I am the fittest of the fit. I am competitive. I train hard. I have done similar challenges before and have done well. I plan on completing the entire course without walking. My plan is to finish the race in great time and win the award for the fittest individual.
Family Challenge/ Individual (1 Mile) - Race is for individuals or families with children ages 6-12 years. This race is not intended as a competitive race only as a challenge. Goal is to have a fun time. The course is 1-mile and participants will encounter fitness obstacles along the route. Parents or guardians can complete the course with the child or allow the child to complete the course by themselves. There will be race judges at the obstacles to assist if needed. If participant does not wish to try an obstacle they can skip it. The race is not timed and no race numbers will be issued.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup |
Race day registrations will be $30.00 for everyone and race shirts will not be guaranteed. Early race packets can be picked up at the Y from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24 or at the Home Builders shelter on race day.
Other Stuff |
Participants are not allowed to wear electronics (earphones, headphones, etc) on the course, as you need to be able to hear the instructions at each station. For those registering in the Walker or Beginner levels, your goal is to complete a minimum of 3 obstacles along the route.
