General Event Details |
Charity 5-K Race & 1 Mile Family Fun Run, Saturday, November 8, 2014 in historic downtown Waxahachie. Honoring our Veterans and benefitting The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Ellis County. Held in conjunction with Waxahachie Veterans' Weekend Celebration and WWII Battle Re-enactment & Encampment in downtown Waxahachie. 5-K Course will go from Historic Courthouse Square to Getzendaner Park & return. Fun Run will also start & end at Courthouse Square. WWII-era & military costumes are encouraged! The event will include family entertainment, music, food, and information booths (located at Courthouse Square & along race course route).

Awards |
Medals & prizes will be given out for several age categories and overall, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. In addition, we will have some fun awards for best costume, most spirited, most family members, and other categories.
