Brant's Great Pumpkin Race in conjunction with Brant's Great Pumpkin Festival will take place Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Earlham School. The day begins with a 5k Run/Walk and 1-mile Run/Walk all beginning at 10:00 AM. At approximately 10:45 AM there will be a free Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin Gallop for the younger kids.

Costumes are encouraged for all runners of all races, with awards for best overall male and female costumes.

Can't make the race but still want to participate? Be a phantom runner and still receive your 2014 Brant's Great Pumpkin Race shirt mailed to your home.

10:00 AM - 5k and 1-mile races
10:45 AM - Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin Gallop
12:00 PM - Awards Ceremony in Auditorium

A 2014 Brant's Great Pumpkin Race shirt and post-race refreshments are included with your registration for the 5k and 1-mile races.

No pre-registration necessary for the Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin Gallop kids' runs. Each Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin run participant will receive a treat bag and participant's ribbon. Shirt not included with this race but may be pre-ordered or purchased at packet pick-up.

Packet pick-up is at the Earlham School on Friday, October 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM or on race day from 8:00 to 9:30 AM.

5k and 1-mile races will start and finish at the Earlham School, 535 N Chestnut, Earlham. All races move through town with long straight runs and finish on the Earlham track. The Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin Gallop will take place on the Earlham track; distances are based on age.

On March 27, 2011, 11 year-old Earlham student Ethan Godwin passed away. Ethan had VATER syndrome, which affected his heart, kidney & digestive system. Ethan overcame surgery on his first day of life and continued to beat the odds through many illnesses and surgeries. He was fearless and resilient and lived every day as if it were his last. Join us in remembering Ethan.

Medals will be given for the top three male and female finishers for each division in the 1-mile & 5k race, and the top male and female finishers for each division in the 10k race. Divisions are: under 8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.

In addition, prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and female 5k runners and overall male and female 1-mile runners. Awards ceremony will be held in the school auditorium following the conclusion of all races, beginning at approximately 12:00PM.

Following the race all participants and their families are invited to the Earlham School for Brant's Great Pumpkin Festival. Freewill luncheon featuring *Yummy Sandwiches or Hot Dogs *Pumpkin Desserts *Silent Auction *Free Kids' Carnival and Inflatables *Plus much more!
