Jesus fed the 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. We're feeding the homeless with 5,000 meters! Come out and join us for a 5k walk or run and help support Mattoon PADS.

PADS is Public Action to Deliver Shelter and serves approximately 1,000 meals per month. They are a drug and alcohol free facility that provides shelter for an average of 8 people every night. All proceeds will go to Mattoon PADS. For more information, visit www.mattoonareapads.org

Whether you are a competitive runner, recreational walker, or just want to support PADS, this is your race. Just register for this event and check whether you want to run or walk or just make a donation.

Our goal is to raise funding for PADS to help with the need of a larger facility. All of the proceeds go directly to PADS to help support the homeless in Coles County.

This race is organized by Small Groups at Broadway Christian Church.

The 5k race will begin at 9 am, just east of the pool in Lytle Park. The course will go through Lytle Park and then through the neighboring streets. The turn around will be about 2 blocks from PADS on Western Avenue. The Finish Line will be the same as the Start Line.

Awards will be given for Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female.

Parking is available by entering the Cedar Avenue entrance off of 32nd Street.

Race Results will be by Championchip 24/7.

We will have race day registration from 7-8:30 at Lytle Park. You can pick up your packet on Friday Aug 8 at PADS, 2017 Broadway Ave. Stop by the front desk, and ask to take a tour of the facility. Of course you can always pick up your packet and t-shirts on Race Day, as well.
