Event Information |
The 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) course is out and back and is along city roads which will be shut down for the duration of the event. Important points to remember:
- For the safety of all participants, please listen carefully to the pre-race instructions.
- The race will begin on the conductor's downbeat!
- There will be orange cones to divide the road, as well as orange markings on the street to assist you. Also, volunteer Course Marshalls and police will be on the course to make sure you know where to go. Please familiarize yourself with the 5K Course Map to make for a smooth, safe experience. - There will be mile markers on the course at miles 1, 2 and 3.
- There will be water and energy foods after the race.
- Runners/Walkers completing the course will be announced live at the finish line.
- Music will be provided at the bandshell by members and friends of the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra while you wait until the Awards Ceremony!
- Free blood pressure checks will be available, courtesy of Marion General Hospital

- Each participant will receive one flex ticket to a concert of their choice during the 2012-2013 MPO Season!
[*]5K T-shirt and Goodie Bag to pre-registered runners/walkers (by June 23, 2012) - and on race day while supplies last

- Overall Male & Female Runners [*]M/F in each category: Under 18, 18-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
[*]Winners will also receive two season tickets to the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra 2012-1013 season!

Results |
Results will be posted as soon as soon as practicable after runners/walkers begin crossing the finish line. Results will be updated throughout the race until every runner/walker finishes.
