Course:
A flat, fast and certified (USATF IL16043NM) 5K course with start and finish at Center Park. Showers & lockers available at the Beach House.

Restrictions:
For safety and insurance reasons, absolutely no unregistered runners allowed on course. In-line skates, bicycles, skateboards and dogs will be prohibited from the racecourse.

100 yard dash @ 8:15am (for ages 5 and under).

Kid's Challenge:
Quarter Mile Run @ 8:20am (for ages 6-10)

Your participation in this event directly benefits the future of the sport that you enjoy...distance running. Thanks to our generous sponsors and you, the organizers of the Scholastic Challenge will be donating funds to local high school cross country and track programs. Based upon your designation on this form, a percentage of the race fund will go to that particular program. While this race welcomes all runners, funds will remain in the schools of central Illinois, defined by the State Journal-Register circulation area. If you are not a student of a central Illinois high school, please designate one that may currently enroll your child, grandchild, brother, sister, your former high school, etc. Thank you for your participation in this unique event. We trust that you will not only come away with a pleasurable race experience, but also with a positive feeling for what you have given back to your sport.
